E É SEMPRE APENAS ISSO, título que é também uma das obras expostas, reuniu desenhos, esculturas, pinturas e fotografias de situações e atos ordinários, habituais. Comer, beber, alongar-se, tricotar, olhar as nuvens e enxergar formas, cortar as unhas. Ações comuns à maioria de nós, maneiras que encontramos de viver e sobreviver, como diz o escritor português Manuel de Freitas na frase que me inspirou: “E é sempre apenas isso: uma maneira frágil de desobedecer à morte”.

The exhibition E É SEMPRE APENAS ISSO (AND IT’S ALWAYS JUST THIS) also the title of one of the artworks shown, featured drawings, sculptures, paintings, and photographs of everyday situations and actions. Eating, drinking, stretching, knitting, looking at clouds and seeing shapes, clipping one’s fingernails. Commonplace activitieons, and to most of us, ways that we find to live and to survive, as stated by Portuguese writer Manuel de Freitas in the phrase that inspired me: “And it is always just this: a fragile way of disobeying death.”
